LONDON COLLECTIONS: MEN – AW14 PREVIEW
Fashion’s seasons never give you a moment’s rest bite. At a time when writing 2014 in e-mails and texts still feels peculiar, the fashion world is already encouraging us to look ahead to AW14. And so, the fashion world is now preparing for this week’s London Collections: Men.
The schedule for the latest instalment of London’s menswear showcase offers up the now recognisable blend of exciting young designers – Matthew Miller, COMMON and Agi & Sam being three – alongside established big hitters such as Christopher Kane,Alexander McQueen and Burberry.
The relationship between the two tiers is a symbiotic one, the big brands provide the grandstand moments and draw in the world’s fashion press, while the smaller fledgling brands give a sense of drive and invention.
Last year’s return of McQueen to London was certainly a memorable event, but the name on the lips of most fashion journalists and buyers was Craig Green. Green will once again be showing as part of the Topman sponsored MAN initiative.

Once again, the shows and presentations will be spread across three familiar venues: The Old Sorting Office, Victoria House and The Hospital Club, which serves as the nerve centre for proceedings.
