Nike Air Max 180 OG ‘Athlete’ Pack

An archive classic rightfully brought back for 2013, the Air Max 180 is successfully maintaining its legend with the return of a solid selection of OG colourways first seen on the feet of the athletes during the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

A product of legendary designers Tinker Hatfield and Bruce Kilgore  joining forces to experiment with the potential of Nike’s visible air technology, the Air Max 180 has become one of the AM family’s most prized silhouettes.

Evidence that he was a fan of all things Swoosh, the 180’s were one of Michael Jordans sneakers of choice when he opted against wearing shoes with his name on them and the 180′s in this ‘Concorde’ iteration were often seen on his feet both on and off his feet during the Barcelona Games.

A make up that seems to perfectly sum up the energy of the era, the Laser Crimson/Bright Magento were originally designed for the female competitors during the game but have been thankfully raised up to Mens sizing as they are ideally suited to the 180, balancing a carefully selected mix of strong colours and successfully putting the focus on the ground breaking bubble.
